OUR MISSION

Julia’s Butterfly Foundation, Inc. envisions a world where all the needs of chronically and terminally ill children are met. Julia’s Butterfly Foundation, Inc. is a volunteer 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to provide assistance to families of chronically and terminally ill children to improve their quality of life.

JULIA'S STORY

The foundation honors the memory of six-year-old Julia Marie Bommer, who passed away in 2005 following her brave battle against a rare kidney disorder. It is the foundation’s goal to pay tribute to the life of this amazing child by helping other children and their families struggling with the demands of their unique circumstances. We are humbled by the courage and dedication of the children and caregivers we support and consider it a privilege to provide financial aid, physical assistance, and services to those who need it most.

OUR FOUNDATION

Julia’s Butterfly Foundation, Inc. is a volunteer, non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of terminally and chronically ill children and their families.

We do not align ourselves with anyone's disease or hospital. JBF identifies patients through the social workers at leading hospitals including The Maria Ferrari Children’s Hospital; The Valley Hospital; Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital; The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital; Hackensack University Medical Center; and the Goryeb Children’s Hospital. Julia’s Butterfly Foundation, Inc. has awarded over 2 million dollars to families in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut and the surrounding areas since 2005. We have paid for children’s funerals, provided gait trainers, braces, funded cutting-edge therapies, and purchased specialized equipment and van lifts. We have paid mortgages and outstanding bills and provided other assistance to families in need.
